Revamping the Delivery Partner Revolution in Bangalore

The rise of a gig-economy is empowering the agency of the workforce. Since the early days of e-commerce, delivery features have been the prime elements of a purchase. Combining the two elements of the e-commerce industry – gigs and delivery portals – it is no surprise that the delivery and transport sector has seen a surge in both users and collaborators.
To design and develop an app that streamlines the process of both delivery and job management is an extensive need in today’s digital market. Customers need efficient delivery partners and delivery partners need a structural and functional portal to perform well. In manifesting these requirements, QWQER achieves a seamless delivery-transport app portal for you.

Who is QWQER?

Based in Bangalore, QWQER is a point-to-point delivery platform that offers delivery services and positions itself as an on-the-go delivery partner management system. The app links customer-focused delivery with interpersonal connection, excelling at what they do. QWQER is certain in their business ideology, meeting and exceeding the needs of their users and the delivery partners that make their business a success. To reflect their empathy-first ideology, we dove into branding objectives and UI/UX design elements that would augment their app’s digital reception.

We Identified Challenges…

To strengthen the QWQER app’s user experience and functionality, we had to be thorough with our research. Our work was concentrated within the existing app, and research showed that delivery partners experienced functional difficulties with overall app usability, and especially with task management. The primary users of the QWQER app are their delivery partners, and they wanted a modern and engaging user interface that would assist them with their deliveries.

… and Found Resolutions

Upon looking into similar mobile apps within the industry, we noted some characteristics that would benefit QWQER, including interactive challenges and reward motifs, simpler navigation, and modern design elements like colours and typography to appeal to the delivery partners’ concerns. Working on these insights, we sought to apply our expertise in branding and UI/UX design to resonate with the users’ needs and expectations.

What We Did

This project took us three months and we started off strong with branding. A brand identity and scheme is the key to designing an app revamp. We discussed and signed off on holistic visual elements and iconography that aided in user flow, interaction, and engagement.
To address the challenges uncovered during our research phase, we added gamified elements that made the app more fun to use. Icons and animations distinct to QWQER’s user base helped make the app experience more connective. Our team of UI/UX designers updated the app’s visual design and redesigned the navigation structure to streamline tasks and management, turning the app into a flexible, seamless, and aesthetically pleasing platform.
Through multiple iterations, we created low-fidelity wireframes to simplify task flow and onboarding processes, and high-fidelity prototypes that refined and perfected QWQER’s visions for the designs.
QWQER wanted to make their app reliable and easy-to-use, streamlining app navigation and delivery management, ultimately boosting productivity. With onboarding tutorial videos and real time delivery partner support, we rectified QWQER’s concerns with digital design and strategy.

Asking the Real Questions: Did It Work?

The revamped QWQER app and its modernized interface improved user experience for their delivery partners. User testing showed enhanced usability, efficiency, and productivity, and the onboarding tutorials were a huge success, contributing to a more inclusive and people-friendly platform. In utilizing our expertise in CX, UI/UX design, and mobile app design, QWQER’s users found an engaging and user-friendly experience in the app.
